4th International Course on Implementation Sciences & Research in NCDs

World NCD Federation- Centre for Implementation Sciences & Research in NCDs is organizing the 4^th International Course on Implementation Sciences and Research in Noncommunicable Diseases from 15 June to 14 July 2026.

Implementation is a major challenge in any national NCD program as most of the NCD programs are new. Though there is a growing recognition of the importance of implementation research, significant gaps in human resource capacity and implementation challenges remain. The course will be an important step towards the growing emphasis on implementation science as an essential aspect of bridging the evidence-to-practice gap. The training will be through interactive sessions and skill development by expert faculty.

This course covers the fundamental concepts and practical applications of implementation science in noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). It includes topics such as the overview and key concepts of implementation science, research designs and measurement in implementation research, theories and frameworks for implementation studies, and translating research evidence into real-world health programs. The course also discusses health system strengthening, stakeholder engagement, use of technology in implementation research, capacity building, funding opportunities, and strategies for scaling up evidence-based NCD interventions through real-world case studies.
